Invisalign® clear aligners can straighten your teeth, and correct bite issues, without the need for wires and brackets. Here, our Surrey dentists explain how the Invisalign treatment process works, from start to finish.
Are you ready for a straighter smile?
If you're ready to straighten your teeth or correct a bite issue, but don't want the hassles that comes along with traditional metal braces, Invisalign may be the ideal orthodontic treatment for you.
Here's how the Invisalign treatment process works:
1 - Book a Consultation
The first step on your journey to a straighter smile is to visit your Surrey dentist for an Invisalign consultation.
This consultation will give your dentist the opportunity to thoroughly examine your teeth and bite to determine whether you are a good candidate for Invisalign.
If Invisalign is right for you, your dentist will do a series of detailed scans and show you a preview of what your smile could look like once your treatment is finished.
2 - Your Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on your smile goals and the results of your detailed scans or impressions, your dentist will create a personalized treatment plan just for you. Your treatment plan will map out the steps of your Invisalign treatment, and provide you with insights regarding what you can expect from Invisalign treatment.
3 - Your Aligners Are Customized for You
Each clear aligner in your series will be created specifically to fit your smile. During your treatment the custom made aligners will gently guide your teeth into their corrected positions. All Invisalign aligners are made out of a clear flexible plastic called SmartTrack® and do not contain any gluten, BPA, or BPS.
4 - A Straighter Smile Starts Here
As soon as your first series of aligners arrive at your dentist's office, your treatment can get started.
Make an appointment to collect your aligners from your dentist. While you're there, your dentist will ensure that your aligners fit correctly, show you how to wear them correctly, review your treatment plan with you, and answer any questions you may have.
After that, you will simply visit your dentist every 6-8 weeks so that your dentist can monitor your progress and make any changes to your treatment that may be required.
5 - Nothing Can Stop You Now
Your clear aligners are so discreet and convenient you can live your life without interrupts while straightening your teeth and correcting bite issues.
Your Invisalign aligners will be almost completely invisible while you're wearing them. That means hardly anyone will notice that you're undergoing orthodontic treatment. And your Invisalign aligners are removable so there's no need to make any changes to your diet.
